Character Customisation:
ArenaNet is promising that each character will be able to attain its own look, with several methods available for standing out from the crowd. One such method that has been announced is the use of color dyes. The ability to dye equipment will allow players to come up with interesting color combinations to make their character in armour type X stand out from another character wearing armor type X. More exciting is that players will have the ability to mix dyes together to create new colours. I'm sure we'll all have a lot of fun seeing who can come up with the most nauseating colors

Windowed Mode:
Exciting news for those who like to surf the web while playing; maybe you want to find a strategy for taking on a particular monster, or a friend has just messaged you. With Guild Wars, there will be no need for the (usually) unreliable alt-tab (and similar methods) to minimise/task switch. Instead, Guild Wars will have a windowed mode. Just like you can choose to make your IE pages whatever size you want, you'll be able to resize the Guild Wars window; thus allowing you to surf or chat and still be able to monitor your character.

Deformable Terrain:
Because of the instanced mission areas, ArenaNet will be able to give players the opportunity to have significant impact on the landscape. In most current MMORPG's it's not possible to allow players to do things like destroy bridges, because those bridges are needed for other players. Guild Wars won't suffer from this limitation, opening up numerous possibilities for increasing player interaction with the environment around them.

Streaming Technology and Anti-cheat:
Due to the streaming technology that Guild Wars is built around, players won't have to download large patches or worry about cheats proliferating unchecked for days. Using their streaming technology, ArenaNet plans to only send players the game data that they actually need. They'll be able to fix a bug and the next time you log on your game will download the fix automatically, eliminating the need for conventional patches. If Monster X is given new artwork, or a new monster is added to a mission, you'll only download that new content when you need it. This will make a very pleasant change from constantly downloading patches that contain content that you may never see or use.
